  4. Throughout the month of January, the MacArthur Memorial invites fellow City of Norfolk employees to join us on special guided tours of our museum, research center, and special exhibits!

    Learn about who we are, how we got here, and what we do!

    Tours will take place every Friday at 3PM through the month of January 2025.

    Is there an admission fee?

    • No, the MacArthur Memorial is free admission for everyone!

    Where are you located?

    • The MacArthur Memorial is located downtown across the street from MacArthur Center Mall and the MacArthur Square Tide Station. Our address is 198 Bank St.

    Where do I park?

    Where will the tours begin? How long do they last?

    • Tours will last about 1 1/2 hours and will start in the Memorial rotunda at 198 Bank St.

    Is there a minimum or maximum number of people who can go on the tour?

    • Group tours are typically given for groups of 10 or more, but for these City of Norfolk employee tours we will provide a guided experience no matter the number! However, the maximum number of people in a group is 30 and time slots are first-come, first-serve so reserve your spot early!

    Are the buildings handicap accessible?

    • Yes, all buildings and exhibits are accessible by wheelchair ramps and elevators. Accessible restrooms are located in the Visitor Center.
