In the MacArthur Memorial's rare photo collection are some 30,000 images of the American occupation of Japan. This special collection of photo images by Dimitri Boria recaptures the mood of Japan during the occupation period in color photography. Of special interest to researchers are images of the Emperor and Imperial family.
