Summer 2011 Teacher Institutes

In partnership with the Virginia War Memorial, the MacArthur Memorial will be offering two teacher institutes that explore the life and times of General MacArthur and World War II.

General MacArthur – Duty, Honor, Country

• June 21 (Richmond – Virginia War Memorial)
• 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
• Guest Speaker: Colonel William J. Davis, USMC (Ret.) – Director, MacArthur Memorial

• June 30 (Norfolk – MacArthur Memorial)*
• 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
• Guest Speaker: Dr. G. William Whitehurst, former Congressman and WW II Veteran

*The Institute in Norfolk will include a behind the scenes tour of the Memorial and Archives.
