New Poster Exhibits Opens

Morale on the home front has always played a key role during times of war. In the times before broadcast media became widespread, one of the easiest ways to reach the populace was through visual art – this included the poster.

Elusive Photo Resurfaces

In the 40 years of the existence of the MacArthur Memorial, a picture of MacArthur giving his speech at the Pearl Harbor Conference has been sought by dozens if not hundreds of researchers. Liberation Plaque Memorial

The Liberation Plaque Memorial was dedicated in MacArthur Square on April 1, 2006. Attended by more than 100 people and 13 former internees and liberators of the Japanese Internment Camps in the Philippines, the rain held off long enough for the ceremony to take place.

Twenty-Seven officers Honored at Pentagon Ceremony

The 19th Annual General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Awards were presented to 27 U.S. Army leaders in a May 17, 2006, ceremony in the courtyard of the Pentagon.
