Army ROTC MacArthur Awards

Annually, the United States Army’s Cadet Command selects the outstanding battalions within the three Army Reserve Officer Training Corps regions. Within each of these regions, MacArthur Awards are presented to battalions based on their enrollment and are categorized as small, medium and large detachments. Selection is made by the Army Cadet Command based upon Order of Merit score, Production Efficiency, Commission Mission Accomplishment, Retention Rate and Contract Mission Accomplishment. This year two sets of awards were presented. One rewarded performance for Mission Set 2001 and the other performance during year 2002. Henceforth, each year’s MacArthur Awards will recognize outstanding performance during the just completed mission set. The MacArthur Award recipients for MS 01 are as follows:

The Cadet Command’s highest battalion awardees for MS 01 are University of Guam, Morgan State University and Xavier University. The awardees for 2002 are Central Missouri State University, University of Hawaii at Manoa and University of California.
