Article VI - Presentation to the United States Air Force

The Foundation and MacArthur Memorial began a new partnership with the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General School at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama.

On July 19, 2005, and October 12, 2005, the Executive Director, Colonel Bill Davis presented lectures and moderated open discussions on the Lessons in Strategy and Leadership of General Douglas MacArthur to recently commissioned and career United States Air Force and Allied officers attending the Air Force Judge Advocate Staff Officer Course.

The presentations drew upon the leadership philosophy and achievements of one of the great captains of American Military History, General of the Army Douglas MacArthur.

The lectures and discussions during the presentations examined two recent works on leadership, No Substitute for Victory by Ted and Donna Kinni and Nineteen Stats by Dr. Edgar Puryear.

This educational outreach program is part of our continuing efforts to present and preserve the legacy of General MacArthur and all those Americans who have served in the nations Armed Forces.
